Liberty wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden has been selected to play in the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl, as announced on Wednesday. He was one of 81 players from 45 teams around the country to receive an invitation to the event.
The Senior Bowl is the most prestigious postseason All-Star event that football has, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for seniors to raise their draft stock significantly. It annually features the country’s best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by entire coaching staffs of two NFL teams.
AGG is the fifth player in school history to receive an invitation to the Senior Bowl. He joins Wayne Haddix (DB, 1997), Eric Green (TE, 1990), Rashad Jennings (RB, 2009), and Walt Aikens (DB, 2014).
The game will be played at Ladd Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on January 25, 2020. The 2019 Senior Bowl produced 10 first-round draft picks and 40 players that were selected in the first three rounds of the 2019 NFL draft.
Gandy-Golden ranks number two in the country in receiving yards this season with 1,082. He is the first player in program history to record 1,000 yards receiving in three-straight seasons.
