During practice Wednesday, Liberty head football coach surprised walk-on wide receiver Brody Brumm with a special football. When Brumm caught the ball, it had written on it: “Congrats on your scholarship.”

Brumm is a redshirt-junior wide receiver from Winamac, Indiana. He played in all 13 games last season primarily as a key member of the Flames’ special teams units, finishing the season with 7 tackles. He also added a 22-yard reception against Virginia.
Brumm has been praised by both Coach Freeze and wide receivers coach Maurice Harris during the early stages of fall camp as one to watch in the receiver room.
