Antonio Gandy-Golden has transformed from little-known prospect to NFL Draft pick.

The Dallas, Georgia native was selected 142nd overall Saturday afternoon in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.

He will be catching passes from Redskins’ quarterback Dwayne Haskins, Jr., a 2nd year player out of Ohio State. The top receivers in Washington include Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims, Jr., and Trey Quinn.

Former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera was hired as the Redskins new coach on December 31, 2019.

A two-star recruit coming out of high school, the 6-foot-4-inch Gandy-Golden transformed himself into Liberty’s all-time leader with 240 career receptions, 3,814 career receiving yards, and 33 career touchdowns.

AGG turned heads earlier this year at the Senior Bowl and again at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and now he gets to make his mark on the biggest stage.

Gandy-Golden becomes the 8th Liberty player to be taken in the NFL Draft and the first since 2014 when Walt Aikens was selected in the 4th round with the 125th overall selection by the Miami Dolphins.
