The SEC has announced game times and networks for week 10 of the college football season, including the Liberty and Ole Miss game. Kickoff from Vaught Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi on Nov. 6 has been scheduled for noon and will be televised on the SEC Network.
Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze makes his much anticipated return to Ole Miss where he was head coach from 2012-2016. The game will also feature a matchup of two of the highest rated NFL quarterback prospects in Liberty’s Malik Willis and Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral.
Ole Miss, led by head coach Lane Kiffin, is currently ranked No. 10 this week following their 6-1 start to the season. The Rebels’ lone loss came at No. 1 Alabama on Oct. 2. Since that loss, Ole Miss has won three straight including wins over Arkansas, Tennessee, and LSU. They play at Auburn this coming Saturday on ESPN at 7 p.m. This will be the first ever meeting between Liberty and Ole Miss.
Liberty has only faced one other SEC program in school history, getting embarrassed at Auburn, 53-0, on Nov. 17, 2018. According to an original copy of the game contract, Liberty will receive $1.5 million from Ole Miss for the game.
