Former Liberty guard Lovell Cabbil has signed with the NBA G League’s Fort Wayne Mad Ants, an affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, Green Sports Management announced.
Cabbil finished his career 13th in the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,406 points in a carer that spanned from 2015-2019. He helped lead the Flames’ to a school record 29 wins and first ever NCAA Tournament win against Mississippi State last season. He scored 18 points in Liberty’s win over the Bulldogs.
Cabbil was Liberty head coach Ritchie McKay’s first recruit signed when he returned to Lynchburg in April 2015, and he was a catalyst to help move the program from one of the worst in Division I to a NCAA Tournament Round of 32 team. Cabbil started 125 games during his four-year career
The Mad Ants begin their season on November 8th at 7pm against the Lakeland Magic.
