A couple weeks ago we ran a mailbag feature which received several follow up questions. So, we’ve decided to do a follow up mailbag. Feel free to ask any additional questions you may have, as we’re always open to running another mailbag.
Your guess is as good as ours at this point on the renderings. Ian McCaw has been incredibly tight-lipped on expansion to the football stadium. Just guessing that we will hear something by the end of the 2017 football season, if not sooner.
Additional parking? Have you ever been to a game that had 45,000+ seats? If so, you typically have to find parking away from the stadium and walk to the gate. I’ve parked over a mile away from stadiums at a few games. That’s not an issue at Liberty. Worst case scenario fans have to park at the mall, Thomas Road, and/or Candlers Station and walk. Even then, I’m sure Liberty would likely work out a shuttle system.
A live trained eagle flying into the stadium, that would be awesome! Ok Ian, get it on the to-do list!
If the visitors’ locker room won’t be ready in time for the 2017 season, where are visiting teams going to go?

We’ve heard that they will utilize the soccer stadium’s locker rooms and walk over.

If you didn’t click to open the linked tweet, it’s a reference to an article discussing former Baylor head coach Art Briles and his desire to coach again. Whenever Liberty’s job comes open, as long as McCaw is the AD, Briles’ name will be linked to the opening. How serious will the interest on either side be? Good question.
In your estimation, who is missing from the @libertyflames Hall of Fame and why is it Larry Blair? https://t.co/XslOfVEenJ

Love this question! Liberty recently announced the 2017 class which includes Sam Chelanga, Julius Nwosu, Katie (Phillips) Bigham, Richard Shelton, and Dave Williams. There’s a few names that are no doubt Hall of Famer’s that haven’t made the cut (yet), and Larry Blair is near the top of the list. A few others include men’s basketball players Peter Aluma and Jesse Sanders, track & field standout Josh McDougal, women’s basketball players Megan Frazee and Avery Warley, and men’s basketball coach Jeff Meyer. Is there anyone else that we’ve missed?
