Welcome to the recruiting spotlight, where we highlight a few recruits that the Flames have their eye on. While football and the fate of the season has been the hot topic as of late, we turn our eyes to basketball to see what recruits the Flames coaching staff are trying to bring to the Hill City.
Braeden Moore SF, 2022
Liberty has already gained one commitment in the class of 2022 from PG DJ Moore. The Flames will now try to get Braeden Moore to come to Liberty. Moore stands at 6-8, 210 lbs and is rated a two-star recruit. Besides the Flames, the Nashville native has offers from: JMU, Rice, UC Davis, and others.
Isaac McKneely SG, 2021
The Flames already have two commits in the class of 2021, in Brody Peebles and Joseph Venzant, and hope that McKneely will join them. The four-star Poca, West Virginia native stands at 6-4, 170 lbs. Besides Liberty, McKneely has received a plethora of D1 offers from: West Virginia, UVA, NC State, and Davidson among others. His stock has risen significantly since Liberty offered and it’s unlikely the Flames still have a legitimate shot despite him taking an unofficial visit this past season.
Efton Reid C, 2021
C Efton Reid is one of the most highly pursued recruits in the class of 2021. The five-star recruit stands at 6-11, 225 lbs, and has received offers from the likes of: Louisville, Michigan, UVA, Georgetown, and others. While getting a big man is a high priority for the Flames, the Bradenton, FL native will be a tough get. Anything is possible though, right?
