Liberty’s basketball team will compete in the Cancun Challenge this Fall. The Flames will be in Mexico for a two game tournament November 25-26 between themselves and Elon, Morgan State, and North Florida. The Challenge also includes 2 games prior to the trip to Cancun against Miami(OH), Northern Iowa, Northwestern and Virginia Tech. As expected, Liberty will face Virginia Tech out of this group. The Flames final game out of this group is unknown at this point.
The final Directors’ Cup standings were announced over the weekend. Liberty finished 145th. The Flames finished 2nd in the Big South as Coastal Carolina finished 108th.
