Flames fans know how important Baxter-Bell is to the team. It is no surprise in the biggest game so far this year, how he performed.
Against Vanderbilt, Baxter-Bell led Liberty with 18 points coupled with 5 rebounds. 16 of his 18 points came in the second half. His effort was awarded by winning the ASUN Co-Player of the Week. He shares the award with Tyler Hooker from Kennesaw State.
This is the first time in the redshirt-Senior’s career that he has been the named ASUN Player of the Week. Coming off the bench, Baxter-Bell is averaging 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Baxter-Bell will see if he can continue to build on this in the Flames next game on Friday against Towson.
