This week’s ASOR Player of the Week is Shiloh Robinson.
The Flames have now won four consecutive games, and the emergence of Shiloh Robinson is a huge reason why. In the Flames previous two games this past week, Robinson has totaled 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks. He had a career-high 15 points in Liberty’s 21 point blowout victory over SEC opponent Missouri.
In his third season for the Flames, the Nebraska native is emerging as Liberty’s top two-way player. Robinson is third on the team in points and rebounds, second on the team in steals, and leads the team in blocks. Robinson has always been a good defender but is emerging as a very efficient offensive option as well. Robinson and McDowell are the only Flames to average over seven points per game while maintaining a 50% field goal percentage or better.
As the Flames have extended their win streak, Robinson’s play has been crucial. Robinson is turning into a “Swiss Army Knife” player for Liberty, as his size and athleticism allow him to be effective in the post and perimeter on both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball. Robinson seems to have solidified his starting spot for the time being and with his confidence growing, Shiloh Robinson could turn into a special player by the season’s end.
