The Flames take care of Division III Clarks Summit, 81-33, in Liberty’s final home game of the 2016 calendar year. Here’s our rapid reactions:
- We’ll keep this short and quick as we’re not going to learn much from a win against a team that has lost by 40+ against a couple of sub-DI teams. This was Liberty’s first game without Caleb Homesley who is out for the season with a knee injury. Ryan Kemrite also sat out the game despite warming up with the team and being dressed. No word on his status immediately.
- It was nice to see the Flames take care of business, and early. They jumped out to an early lead and the game was never really in question.
- Myo Baxter-Bell had the best game of his redshirt-freshman season, finishing with his first career double-double. He finished the game with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.
- Brock Gardner had a career high in points finishing with 18 points.
- John Dawson with his best game since William & Mary several weeks ago. Liberty’s senior caption scored 14 points on the night. The Flames will need him during conference play.
- Liberty hits the road the next couple of weeks, beginning Monday night at Lamar in Texas.
