Here’s how former Liberty players fared in the second full weekend of preseason games.
QB MALIK WILLIS
Malik Willis not only got the second straight start this preseason for the Titans, but he played the entire game due to the injury suffered by reserve QB Will Levis. Willis rushed for 91 yards and threw a touchdown pass. He finished the game 10 of 17 passing for 85 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception while adding the 91 rushing yards on 11 carries.

WR DEMARIO DOUGLAS
For a second straight week, Douglas received limited snaps in a preseason game. He did record his first professional reception, hauling in both of his targets for 17 yards while playing only three offensive snaps. Douglas is all but a lock to make the 53-man roster and many of the beat writers for New England think the Patriots are trying to keep Demario’s talents and the way they hope to utilize him during the regular season hidden until the year begins.

DE DURRELL JOHNSON
Johnson has had a strong training camp and caught attention from many. He does play at a very deep position on the edge for the Cowboys and is probably a long shot to make the 53-man roster though he should have a very strong case to make the team’s practice squad. Johnson did not record any stats in his second preseason game.

CB DURON LOWE
Lowe began this preseason on the practice squad for the Tampa Bay Bucs but was waived by the team last week. He didn’t remain homeless for long as Lowe was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs. Lowe did make an appearance in the preseason game for the Chiefs on Saturday, recording one tackle.
