According to Rocco Miller, Conference USA and the WAC have finalized the matchups for the 2024 version of the WAC/CUSA Alliance. Liberty is scheduled to play at Seattle University on November 9 and play host to UT Arlington on December 16 as part of this event.
Seattle finished last season with a 23-14 overall record and 11-9 in conference play. The RedHawks advanced to the CBI in the postseason, winning four games to clinch the 2024 CBI Championship, defeating High Point in the final.
UT Arlington was 20-14 last season and 13-7 in conference play. The Mavericks reached the WAC Tournament championship game where they lost to Grand Canyon.
Last year, the Flames played at Utah Tech and also hosted Grand Canyon as part of this event.
Additional games Liberty is scheduled to play this coming season include the 2024 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam. The eight team tournament will be held November 21-26, 2024 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The rest of the announced field so far includes UAB, George Washington, Illinois State, Kansas State, McNeese State, and two other teams to be announced soon. The Flames will play in three games as part of the Paradise Jam event. Tournament pairings and the full schedule will be released at a later date.
The Flames are also slated to compete in the Field of 68 Tip-Off for the second of a three-year event. Last year, this event was held at FAU where the Flames played against FAU and Charleston, dropping both games. This coming season, Liberty will play both FAU and Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. It is scheduled to be played at Liberty Arena in 2025.
