According to multiple sources, Liberty has found its next head baseball coach in North Carolina’s Scott Jackson. An official release is expected later today with a press conference expected for Monday.
Jackson is currently an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the Tar Heels where he has spent the past 9 seasons. During his time in Chapel Hill, UNC has made 6 NCAA Tournament Appearances and 3 appearances in the College World Series. Jackson also served one season as pitching coach at Liberty in 2008 under former Flames skipper Jim Toman.
As a Campbell alum, Jackson has also spent time on staff at UNC Wilmington, Campbell, Barton, and Wofford. Jackson becomes the 7th skipper in Liberty baseball history.
