Seth Curry was back in Lynchburg on Friday as the former Liberty guard spoke to high school students as part of Liberty’s team camp this weekend.
Curry was initially recruited by Liberty head coach Ritchie McKay to Liberty during McKay’s first stint as Flames head coach. Seth, the younger brother of NBA MVP Stephen Curry, spent his freshman season with the Flames and McKay before transferring to Duke for the remainder of his collegiate career. In his one season at Liberty, Curry averaged 20.2 points per game and was named the Big South’s freshman of the year.
As a senior at Duke, Seth averaged 17.5 points per game. Curry went undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, and he spent most of the next 2 seasons in the NBA D-League. On July 22, 2015, Seth signed a 2 year, $2 million contract with the Sacramento Kings. In 44 games with the Kings this past season, he averaged 6.8 points per game while shooting 45% from 3.
