According to D1Baseball, Liberty has seen several players enter the transfer portal from the baseball team since the end of the season.

Todd Hudson, Brian McClellin, Nathan Keeter, Trey Cooper, Graham Edwards, Joe Waters, Maddex Labuda, Easton Amundson, and David Marshall have all entered the portal according to the D1Baseball listing. Additionally, Three Hillier has announced his intentions to transfer to South Carolina.

Hillier did not play for the Flames this past season after suffering an injury, but the previous two years he was one of Liberty’s top players. In 2023, Hillier started 57 games, 37 of those at catcher, 15 in left field, and five as the designated hitter. He hit .244 with 33 RBI and 39 runs scored. In 2022, Hillier was named to the ASUN All-Tournament Team. He also started 52 games, 45 of those coming in left field, six at catcher, and one as the designated hitter. He batted .309 with 43 RBI and 42 runs scored with 17 doubles and 8 home runs.

A two way player, Hudson was one of the Flames top weapons both on the mound and at the plate. He started 41 games while playing in 49, batting .284 while tying for the team lead with 11 home runs. While pitching, Hudson made 13 appearances, starting 10. he finished the year with a 7.26 ERA over 31 innings pitched.

Transferring into Liberty from San Joaquin Delta College, McClellin started 31 games while playing in 45 for the Flames this year. He had a .246 batting average with 6 home runs.

In 2022 as a freshman, Keeter played in 54 games with 48 starts. He started 33 games at second base and 15 games in the outfield while batting .239 with 18 RBI and 35 runs scored. In 2023, Keeter played in 35 games with 25 starts. He started 14 games at second base and 11 games in left field while batting .172 with 19 RBI and 17 runs scored. This past spring, Keeter played in 13 games for the Flames and started one.

Cooper made 20 appearances in relief this past season. He pitched 21 innings and had an 11.57 ERA. In 2023, Cooper made 19 appearances with eight starts. He posted a 2-3 record with a 5.79 ERA over 32.2 innings.

Edwards made five appearances out of the bullpen for the Flames this past season, tossing 2.2 innings. In 2023, his first at Liberty, Edwards appeared in 15 games, all in relief. He posted a 1-2 record with a 3.28 ERA over 24.2 innings.

Waters did not record any stats in his three years at Liberty.

As a true freshman, Labuda made one appearance this season for the Flames. He did not record an out while giving up one hit and walking three.

In his first year on the team, Amundson played in 10 games while starting three while posting a .077 batting average.

Marshall did not record any stats or see any action in his three years with the Flames.
