SJ Tuohy will join former Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn at his new stop at UCF in Orlando, Florida. Tuohy is expected to be the director of football operations, as first reported by FootballScoop.
Tuohy spent the past year at Liberty in a similar role as Assistant AD and Director of Operations. Prior to the past season with the Flames, Tuohy was an assistant director of football operations the prior two seasons at Arkansas under Chad Morris, who was fired near the end of the 2019 season. Tuohy graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore before he played for Chad Morris at SMU. He then coached at SMU before leaving for Arkansas with Morris.
Tuohy and his family were portrayed in the movie The Blindside as his family adopted Michael Oher, who went on to play for Ole Miss.
