Today the Flames released the post-spring depth chart. Throughout the coming days Flames Nation will take a look at some positions and expound on them.
Starting QB: 6 Josh Woodrum (6-3, 225, Sr.)
This will be Josh Woodrum’s third year as the starting quarterback for the Flames. Each year he has steadily progressed and looks to lead Liberty back to its second playoff appearance.
Backup QB: 3 Stephon Masha (6-1, 195, So.)
Though he has looked rusty, Stephon Masha is still poised to back-up and eventually takeover the starting position once Woodrum graduates. Out of his 11 passes during the spring game, only 5 of them were completions. No reason to worry though. We were shown last season what Masha is capable of.
3rd String QB: 12 Bo Swanson (6-1, 195, So.)
Bo Swanson is a walk-on from Liberty Christian Academy and will be apart of the scout team. With Javan Shashaty graduating, Swanson has been listed as the holder on the depth chart. During the spring game he had limited participation with just 5 attempted passes.
Not Listed: 15 J.T. Bradwell (R-Freshman)
With his suspension for the spring, we haven’t seen anything out of J.T. Bradwell. This pattern continues as he doesn’t appear on the charts. It is important to note that Bradwell is still on the roster and is expected to be active in the fall.
