MENS SOCCER
After a 4-game skid, the Flames bounced back with 2 wins and a tie their last 3 games. Overall this season, they are 6-7-2 and in conference 3-2-1.
The Flames will play in their final home match of the season this Saturday at 11:30am against Presbyterian.
Big South Championship play opens November 6th.
WOMENS SOCCER
The womens soccer team is currently riding a 5-game win-streak. They won those games by a combined score of 13-0, forcing 5 consecutive shutouts, tied for the most in a season. This win-streak has brought them to an overall record of 11-7 and a conference record of 7-2.
The Flames play in the Big South Championship Quarterfinals this Sunday at Osborne Stadium at 2pm.
BIG SOUTH MEDIA DAY: BASKETBALL
Big South Media Day for the mens and womens basketball teams took place this past week.
The Lady Flames were picked the finish 4th in the Big South preseason poll.
The men were picked to finish 2nd in the Big South preseason poll.
John Dawson was selected preseason all-conference.
Tonight the mens team will host a red/blue scrimmage in the Vines Center at 6pm for those that would like to see a little preseason action from the Flames.
The 2016 season tipoff for both teams is just 14 days away!

FOOTBALL
Both QB Buckshot Calvert and RB Todd Macon earned Big South honors thanks to their performances against Monmouth last Saturday. Macon was named the Big South Offensive Player of the Week behind his 271 all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns. Buckshot threw for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns leading to him being named not only the Big South Freshman of the Week, but also the National FCS Freshman of the Week.
Liberty’s win 28-52 win over Monmouth brings this to 4-3 on the season and 2-0 in the Big South Conference.
The Flames take on Gardner-Webb this Saturday (10/29) at 3:30pm in Williams Stadium.
