With Duke’s loss Sunday night to Louisville, Seth Curry’s career has come to an end.
Of course we all know Curry started at Liberty as a true freshman in 2008-09. While with the Flames he led all freshmen nationally in scoring with 20.2 per game. Curry was named the Big South Freshman of the year and was 2nd team all-Big South. He also helped guide the Flames to a program best 23 wins.
During his redshirt season at Duke in 2009-10, the Blue Devils went 35-5 on their way to winning the ACC regular season, ACC tournament and NCAA national championship. Curry started the better part of the past 3 seasons with his role and minutes played increasing each year. His sophomore season he averaged 9.0 points per game while this past season he averaged over 17.
What will Curry’s legacy at Liberty University be? Will fans remember him for the one great season? Will they chastise him for leaving? Will they applaud him for trying to better himself?
