As an FBS member, Liberty will face top NFL prospects each and every season and this year is no different.
Pro Football Focus has released their list of the top 100 2021 NFL Draft prospects, and, while no Flames made the list, there are a few prospects Liberty will face this season.
Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley checks in at No. 12 on the list. Liberty will not face the 6’2″, 207 pound corner as he was one of the first to opt out of the 2020 season to prepare for the NFL Draft. Farley is ranked by many to be the top CB prospect in the 2021 class.
Syracuse’s Andre Cisco is ranked at No. 31 on PFF’s list. Cisco exploded onto the scene as a true freshman in 2018 with 12 interceptions and 13 pass breakups. Last season, he had 6 tackles and 1 interception against the Flames in the Orange’s 24-0 win over Liberty in last season’s season opener.
Western Kentucky’s DeAngelo Malone is the final player to make this list, as he’s pegged at No. 89. Malone is a 6’4″, 230 pound defensive end who racked up 14 sacks, 12 hits, and 26 pressures last season.
