The Big South baseball conference tournament gets underway Tuesday morning. The #1 seed Liberty faces #8 Gardner-Webb at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. Chris Lang of the News & Advance gives a team-by-team breakdown of the field.

Liberty is projected by Perfect Game to be a 2 seed in the Charlottesville, Virginia regional in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The rest of the projected regional is #1 Virginia, #3 Old Dominion, and #4 Bucknell.
Gill sees competitive fire in Aikens. Head Coach Turner Gill was interviewed by The Finsiders, a Miami Dolphins blog, where he discussed Walt Aikens and what he brings to the Dolphins.
