Over the past several years, Liberty has produced a number of professional basketball players, and several of them continue to play, whether in the States or overseas. Here’s an update on where several former Flames are playing.

Lovell Cabbil

Cabbil is currently competing in France where he is playing for Denain ASC Voltaire. He has played and started in 29 games, averaging 27.9 minutes, 15.9 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game while shooting 39% from the field and 32.3% from three.

Ray Chen

Chen continues to play in the Chinese CBA, currently with Beijing Shougang. He has started 26 of 30 games played. He’s playing 13.4 minutes per game while averaging 13.4 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game. Chen, who transferred to Liberty from Belmont Abbey for his final season of eligibility in college, is shooting 44% from the field and 36% from three this season.

Tomasz Gielo

After finishing his collegiate career at Ole Miss as a grad transfer, Gielo has spent the past nine seasons playing professionally. His first five years were all in Spain. This season, Gielo is playing for Bilbao in the Spanish ACB league. He has played in 34 games, while starting 18, and is averaging 18.6 minutes, 6.7 points, and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Caleb Homesley

Homesley currently plays for Dreamland Gran Canaria in Spain, plaing in the Liga ACB and the EuroCup. Homesley is playing 19.9 minutes per game while averaging 13.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He is shooting 45.1% from the field and 37.4% from three.

Scottie James

James is playing for Tianjin Ronggang in the Chinese professional basketball league. In 42 games this season, James is averaging 32.3 minutes, 22.1 points, 14.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He is shooting 45.7% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range.

Darius McGhee

McGhee is playing for the Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany. In 33 games played, he is averaging 26.7 minutes, 17.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 39.7% from the field and 35.4% from three.

Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz

Playing in Puerto Rico, Pacheco-Ortiz is playing for Indios de Mayaguez. He has played the last three games there after beginning the season with a different team. For the season, Pacheco-Ortiz is averaging 28.7 minutes, 13.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 46.5% from the field and 47.8% from three.

Kyle Rode

Rode is playing in the G League for the Austin Spurs. Rode has played in 29 games, starting 11, while averaging 25.3 minutes, 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 44.1% from the field and 40.9% from three.

Shiloh Robinson

In his first professional season, Shiloh is playing for CD Povoa in Portugal. He has played and started in 17 games and is averaging 32.7 minutes, 9.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 43.2% from the field and 28.1% from three.

Drew Smith

In his 10th season playing professionally, Drew Smith has played for three teams this season in Germany. He is averaging 21 minutes, 8.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while shooting 56.5% from the field and 28% from three.
