Liberty continues to find success in the portal, picking up a commitment from Vanderbilt transfer linebacker Ethan Crisp.
Crisp is a 6’3″, 220 pound linebacker originally from Mount Juliet, Tennessee. He saw playing action in one game in 2023 for the Commodores during his true freshman season, redshirting as he has four years of eligibility remaining.
Crisp was a three-star recruit out of high school. He was ranked as a top 100 prospect by all four national recruiting services.
He chose the Commodores out of high school over several other Power Five programs, having 16 offers from Power Five schools including Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Crisp will add depth to an already deep linebacker corps for the Flames. Coach Chadwell and his staff have prioritized that position throughout the offseason, bringing in several transfers including Teylor Jackson (ECU), Jahmar Brown (Coastal Carolina), and Aidan Vaughan.
