Liberty’s Casey Roberts |
Liberty drops to 0-3 after falling to Georgetown 68-59. What we learned against Georgetown:
- 3rd game in a row where improvement was seen from the previous game. That’s encouraging.
- Davon Marshall continues to prove he can shoot well from the perimeter. He also dropped a couple of nice dimes against Georgetown. He should be a really good Point in the Big South.
- Casey Roberts, impressive for anyone, let alone a walk-on. He deserves extended PT. Roberts was our leading scorer with 13 points.
- Turnovers continue to be a problem. Hopefully this will improve in the next 3 games in Texas as we play teams much closer to our level than Georgetown. 16 for the game, only 5 in the 2nd half.
- Would love to see Jourdan and Marshall featured in offensive sets on multiple occasions during a ball game. They can score, but need more opportunities.
- Liberty shot 10/18 from 3. I think we would take that every night.
- JR Coronado continues to improve. He had 13 rebounds.
Liberty has three games early next week in the Legends Classic from Huntsville, Texas. Next 3 games are UC Irvine, Sam Houston State, and Southern Miss on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, respectively.
