Liberty dispatches Longwood 74-47 to move to 2-4 in conference play. What we learned against the Lancers:
- The 27 point margin is the largest over a conference opponent since February 9, 2008 when Liberty beat UNCA b y 29.
- The 74 points scored is a season high for the Flames over Division I competition.
- The 47 points allowed is a season low for points allowed.
- Liberty picks up its 2nd conference win on the season.
- Longwood remains winless in conference at 0-6.
- The Flames were paced in scoring by JC Sanders who had 20.
- Casey Roberts’ hot hand has returned the last 2 games after being very cold throughout the last month or so. Roberts had 12 points against Longwood.
- Tavares Speaks also scored in double figures with 10.
- JC Sanders took 17 shots. No other Flame took more than 7.
- Liberty had 33 bench points.
- The Flames shot 53% from the field compared to Longwood’s 31%.
Liberty returns to action Saturday night in the Vines Center against Charleston Southern at 8pm.
