Introducing our newest feature: Where are they now? We will feature a former Liberty athlete and spotlight what they are doing now and in their time since being at Liberty. If you have any suggestions for athletes we should feature, let us know!
Our first entry is Kyle Ohman. Ohman played on the men’s basketball team from 2006-2010. His time at Liberty is a story in itself as he went from a walk-on to a 1,000 point scorer. Kyle currently ranks 18th on the all-time scoring list as he scored 1,141 points. His senior season he was the Flames’ leading scorer averaging 15.4 points per game. Ohman is one of just 3 Flames to make 100 3-pointers in a season.
Since graduating, Kyle spent one season in Spain playing professional basketball for Basquet Coruna. He became head coach of the Faith Baptist Eagles in Brandon, Florida for one season. In September 2010, Ohman started the website www.basketballhq.com. Basketball HQ is “going to revolutionize the way that people train for basketball.”
