Another day, another commitment for Coach Hugh Freeze and the Flames. On Monday, Ashton Maples joined the class of 2020.
Maples is a 6’3″, 180 pound receiver from Maryville High School in Tennessee. He picked up an offer from Liberty after camping with the Flames last weekend. Liberty is his only reported FBS offer. He helped lead Maryville to the Class 6A state semifinals as a junior last fall.
He joins a class that has grown significantly over the past two weeks, joining Tim Coutras and DJ Humes who committed over the weekend. The rest of the class includes Lincorey Lucas, Jerome Jolly, Cameron Hunter and Louis Taylor. Maples is the first commit in the class on the offensive side of the ball.
All glory to the man above! I would like to thank all of my family and people in my life that helped me get where I am today. I am BEYOND blessed to say I’ve committed to Liberty University! GO FLAMES ? ? #RISEWITHUS #FIRE2TORM @CoachHughFreeze pic.twitter.com/UHzKelYGCk
