Wide receiver Ashton Maples has decommitted from Liberty, he announced on twitter Sunday evening.
Maples was in Lynchburg this past weekend for his official visit. He had committed to Liberty in June, but he now reopens his recruitment just a few days before the early signing period opens this coming Wednesday.
Maples is a 6’3″, 180 pound receiver from Maryville High School in Tennessee. He picked up an offer from Liberty after camping with the Flames this summer. Liberty wass his only reported FBS offer. He helped lead Maryville to the Class 6A state semifinals as a junior last fall.
